Andi you are so odd XD
Feb. 22nd, 2004 07:15 pm (UTC)
hmmm ... I am odd, this is true ... even though I don't happen to be Andi. I think. I'm pretty sure I'm not Andi, unless I suddenly have become Andi, and everyone has neglected to inform me. But I'm pretty sure, as much as I can tell, that I'm still Eo, and not Andi, and that Andi is someone else entirely. I think. But I'll tell you if I ever do become Andi, or think I'm in the process of becoming her -- or anyone else, for that matter -- because I think it's something people should like to know about me, one of those cool life anecdotes.

I don't mind at all! Any friend of ladyshrew's is a friend of mine-- lol, and actually we have more than a few friends in common. ^_^ I'd be quite honored, actually -- am usually much to timid to add people myself, so am glad you've relieved me of the trepidation. *grin*

lol! I actually regret having to go friends only, but the thought of having RL people finding my journal was TOO scary. <.<;;;;;;

I'm such a bother...
Hello, Tori! This is Tina (formerly "elephantsinsnow"). I got a new journal and I'd like to still read your entries. Hope I'm not irritating you too much by asking to be added again... -_-

Hi. :)
Dec. 11th, 2007 04:48 am (UTC)
I'm a friend of Charis, and read the poem she reposted from your blog (Wild Geese), and thought, now there's someone to be friends with. I'm female, almost 50, young at heart, love Robin McKinley and Patricia McKillip and never did quite grow up. I'm also a writer, have a few things published, with any luck will publish a novel (soonish). Love Buffy the Vampire Slayer, all kinds of music. Love dogs. Would love cats but I'm allergic.

So can we be friends?
Dec. 11th, 2007 07:42 am (UTC)
Re: Friends
*laughs* Of course we can be friends! Even lacking your extensive credentials, pretty much any friend of Charis is sure to be a friend of mine =) On the kindred spirits level, anyway, even if we have yet to meet. But see, now we've met! Sort of. And man, I love cats, but am horrifically allergic as well! Isn't it sad? I love dogs too, though, so it's okay.
Oh! I also wanted to make note that I wasn't the one who wrote the poem, just in case! I always worry that when I repost poetry in my LJ it will get wrongly attributed to me (unless, of course, I wrote it, which I haven't in Eons) which I find very distressing, because Plagiarism is Wrong, Yo. Even inadvertent. And sometimes people don't always notice the tag saying who wrote it. I hope we can still be friends, even if I'll never be brilliant enough to write poetry that isn't angsty dreck. =)
Dec. 11th, 2007 07:51 am (UTC)
You mean angsty dreck isn't poetry? Ye gads, what have I been doing all these years?

I know the poem--Wild Geese--was not by you. The author's name was posted at the bottom. It's been years since I read that poem--or it seems like that to me--and I really love it. It reminds of James Wright's poem "A Blessing." Have you read it? I'll post it in my blog--about time I shut up about me and put up something lovely and useful.

(SO not to worry about plagiarism.) Thanks for adding me.

Hi! flowerofakrasia said you're a really neat person, and into all sorts of baking and pastry stuff, which I am slowly learning! (I'm her and Carin's Erika, for what it's worth). Want to be LJ friends?

lol, totes late (I blame my sporadic lack of keyboard ... long story) but I'd love to be friends. =) I half-feel as though I know you already!
Jan. 5th, 2010 05:14 pm (UTC)
Nooo worries! Nice to finally meet you--i've gotten a similar feeling. Val thinks the world of you!

Having a keyboard and a computer that works is awesome! =D It also means catching up on all the comments I haven't replied to. <.<
I totally did telemarketing, for about 3 months, and it was the worst job of my LIFE. I would prefer to go on a blind date with a different person every night for a year than do another day of telemarketing. *shudder*
But yeah, randomly adding semi-strange people you've only glimpsed in comments? Well, hello there, rampant social anxiety that shouldn't exist because this is a very low-key event in a mostly virtual medium! Which is to say, I totes sympathize! But I'm okay with being added, because new friends (especially friends of Charis and Shelly) are awesome, like pie! ....Oh man now I want pie.

Hi, Tori! Somehow we're not actually friends. I don't know how, but it seems to me that we ought to be... We follow each other on Twitter, it seems we ought to be friends on LJ, too. I've known of you for ages now...

Anyhow, like Jenn before me, I know Charis and Shelley and Denzi, etc, and feel that you and I ought to be friends. What do you say?
Jan. 15th, 2011 03:57 pm (UTC)
I stumbled on your profile the other day, seeing we both had Taliesin next to Tam Lin in interests.
Your tagline "we wait at the gate for an echo" sounding like a great topic for a poem. Then as fate would have it I heard Richard Shindell on XM Radio The Village doing "On a Sea of Fleur-De-Lis".

I may still try a poem with "gate", "echo" and "wait" :)

So what do you say try this friend?
